when aircraft propeller blows air at a very high speed why the clouds are not blown out?
Clouds are smoke like, so when an aeroplane passes in the clouds blowing the wind at a high speed the clouds are not scattered. Why?
Stop and think about it...on the ground the aircraft is sitting still. the propeller is acting like a large fan. Now in the air, the propeller is pulling the aircraft forward at a given distance per revolution. Therefore, there is essentially no disturbance of the clouds behind the propeller. If the pitch of the propeller is say 72 inches this means the airplane propeller will move forward 72 inches per revolution if moved through lead (no slippage) if you take the number of revolutions per minute you can calculate the speed of that aircraft very closely. propellers are almost 100% efficient on modern aircraft.
Incidentally aircraft propellers are actually like wings and create a low pressure area ahead of the blades. This low pressure "sucks" the aircraft forward.
