Is it pretty expensive to own a air Impact Wrench?

I know you have to buy the Air Compressor. How much does this usually run? And really, how long do they last before they screw up?

i bought a compressor for around 250.00
the 1/2 inch impact and 3/8 inch ratchet together ran me around 100.00 bucks and I've had them for at least 15 years and they still work like new.
make sure you oil them if you don't have an in line oiler
