Looking for the Best Welding Mask for LIFE!?
I just started welding School and 1st day welding I had the hardest time seeing where I was going..it was so dark..I am thinking I need a new Helmet..this is something I am going to be doing for a long time and would like to buy ONE...So I wana make sure its a good one...thanxs!

If you are just starting out I would just go and buy a bunch of different lenses of different shades from # 9 to # 14. That way you can change it as you change amperage. It is not worth the extra cost starting out to get a good Auto Darkening hood. If you still insist on getting an auto hood the Speedglas hood is a great hood. I have had one for 20 years now and it still Works Great (I have 3 now). They cost a lot but they were the first to invent the auto hood. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Health/Safety/Brand/Six/ . They are the Cadillac of hoods. You can look online for who sells it the cheapest. http://www.cyberweld.com/ Is a good place to start. Miller, Jackson, and the other "name brand" hoods are good. I would stay away from the cheapy hoods they don't last. Good luck!
