How do I find out how many volts my amp is getting?
I'm wantin to get a JL Audio G Series G1300 amp and it says that a 14.4 volts it'll put out 150 watts RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms and at 12.5 volts it'll be puttin out 120 watts RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms.
BMW rider, most cars do NOT do 14.6 volts while running except perhaps on a cold start. Most are 13.5-14.0 in my experience... I had a caddy with digital voltage than ran up to 14.7 on a cold start, when it warmed up, a bit under 14. I have noted this with most cars, as the engine gets hot the alternator doesnt put out as strong voltage.
