Help! Need to cut 2 holes in my very hard ceramic tiles. How?
We have bought some rather large travertine effect tiles. They are really nice and I loved them until it came to cutting holes out of them for the wall mounted taps....
Heres what happened....
Tile 1 - masonry Drill Bit, blunt, tile cracked
Tile 2 - diamond Hole Saw bit (for tiles) - went blunt after 2 little holes, used another Diamond Hole saw - blunt.
Tile 3 - Carbide Tipped ceramic/Glass Bit, blunt then resorted to any drill bit i could find - nice chip in the tile.
The holes are about 32mm diameter each and it seems like it will take forever to do this. What is the easiest, quickest way to do it?
Please help me!! full answers please!
Without spending a fortune on more Drill Bits that dont work!
Mark your centers, bring to your local marble/granite workshop. They'll do it for a nominal fee, if any.
