ok so im going to get my cavity filled in lik an hour ! and im a big baby when it comes to shots so i kinda want to refuse the Novocaine =| but by dentist also gives nitrus oxide gas ....if i take the gas instead of the novocaine will i still be in pain when they drill? helpp =[
Nitrous oxide may be all you need especially if the cavity is small and does not go deep. Everyone has a different pain threshold as to what they can stand. You might ask the dentist to start off with just the nitrous and if it hurts too much he can stop and give you the local anesthetic. The shot will even go easier while under the nitrous. Good luck
