Anyone know about a secret fix for Hilti Cordless Drill rechargeable batteries?(being sold on e-bay)?
I have a model 121a hilti cordless Drill Driver 12 volt Ni Cd the batteries are fried, guns brand new though, new batteries are about $70.00 each with shipping. On e bay they have several listings for a quick fix for hilti batteries . Sounds too good to be true. Ever heard of it? Or for any batteries for that matter, I mean dead is dead right?
A lot of cordless batteries can be taken apart (at least mine can). Remove some little screws and you can split the case. Inside you'll find a bunch of smaller ni-cad or maybe even lithium-Ion Batteries, often spot-welded together. You might be able to replace them. Check the polarity, as it may be flipped around.
