Electrical Compatibility?
Hey guys,
So me and my friend are doing a project, trying to build a Solar Powered plane.
We've picked out some items and wanted to make sure the wiring is all compatible and see if we have enough energy to make the plane fly.
We already know were getting enough volts, but we need make sure the wattage and ampage is correct.

it weighs just around a pound, 19" wingspan and has a 9.6 volt Lithium Polymer battery.

They certainly won't power your airplane motors. Since you will have them in series, they will only produce the 50mA of current, which would be about .7 watts.
If the motors were 3.6 volts, then you could put the 4 of them in parallel and increase you power output.
Even so, the only benefit you will get from the cells is maybe, and I say maybe, a little extra time from your battery.
You would also have to carefully cut the top of the wings and fit you panels in so they would be smooth and follow the original wing shape to prevent loss of lift.
